Mission UK- SAFE System
As of December 9, 2019, the State Department has a new requirement for official travel to the UK. Travelers to Mission U.K. are required to enter their contact information into the SAFE system prior to their departure from their current duty station. Traveler must confirm in writing to the Travel Office that they have registered in the Mission UK SAFE System before the FTMS will be routed for approval. Country Clearance will not be granted without this confirmation.
This information is critical for personnel accountability purposes and will enable Mission U.K. to provide timely security information and accountability if circumstances require. Please note that for users with SAFE accounts already you can subscribe to multiple locations in the SAFE system.
