Travel Policies and Procedures
All individuals who travel on behalf of PPPL are responsible for complying with and becoming familiar with the PPPL Travel Guidelines. All managers, supervisors and others who approve travel are expected to ensure the guidelines set forth in this document are followed. The PPPL Travel Office will provide assistance in complying with these guidelines; however, the traveler has ultimate responsibility for compliance.
Travelers and project management should support cost-effective measures by evaluating the need to travel and the potential of using less-expensive alternatives such as e-mail, and/or audio/net (Web)/video conferencing. Travel while on official Laboratory business must be conducted in a manner that meets business needs.
The traveler must report travel expenses in a responsible and ethical manner.
All official Laboratory travel must be properly authorized, conducted, reported and reimbursed in accordance with these guidelines.
